Powidz base visit, 09-08-2007
On the third operational day of our Poland trip we went to Powidz. Unfortunately only one Sukhoi Su-22-M4 Fitter was flying, luckily equipped with the rare recce pod. The only other movement was a CASA C-295 which was practising landing at and take off form the taxiways at Powidz, in preparation for the landing strips in Afghanistan. Two other aircraft were seen that day, another Fitter in a hardened aircraft shelter and a Mil Mi-2P, parked in the shelter area. Not much action, but we had very good photo opportunities!
