| The Armée de l'air have operated with the Sepecat Jaguar for 32 years. On July the first 2005 the last six Jaguars went out of service.
The French Air Force has used 200 Jaguars in the close air support and reconnaissance role. The Jaguar A is a single-seated attack plane, the Jaguar E a dual-seated trainer. The Jaguar came in action in Mauritania, Central African Republic, Chad, Kuwait, Iraq and the Yugoslavian civil wars. Approximately 2.000 pilots and 10.000 mechanics have worked with the Jaguar. 730.000 flying hours were conducted by Escadrons 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Escadres 7 and 11 and EC.03.003. |
